Yes, it's true; I'm blogging. The only reason I am blogging is because my computer is performing a task and I am waiting for it to finish.

Nevermind the fact that pursuing a Ph.D., which isn't exactly easy even if you are young, healthy, and single, and is darn near insane with a family, a newborn, age, and not-so-healthy hanging over you, keeps me swamped. The latest phase has me studying fulltime to pass comprehensive exams.

On a sadder note, clearly there is something about blogging that just doesn't gel with my personality. Without comments (which I can't turn on because of spam), I feel like I am just publishing into the void. Sadly, this occupies the same space in my brain as posting naked pictures of oneself online.

However, I deeply appreciate the real need in this day and age to let you peers know that you are doing something. Well, I am; it just isn't a daily squirt.

I am contemplating moving this whole blog endeavor to an engine on which I can successfully deploy comments as a desperate move to keep myself motivated
